Day 1
Begin with a steep climb through dense rainforest. The trail is narrow and demanding. Camp at Umbwe Cave (2,940m).
Day 2
Continue ascending steeply along the ridge with dramatic views. Descend slightly into Barranco Camp (3,960m).
Day 3
Climb the Barranco Wall and traverse to Karanga Camp (4,035m) for acclimatization.
Day 4
Reach Barafu Camp (4,640m), the base camp for summit night. Rest and prepare for the midnight push.
Day 5
Midnight ascent to Stella Point and Uhuru Peak (5,895m). Descend to Mweka Camp (3,100m).
Day 6
Final descent through rainforest. Collect your summit certificate and transfer back to your hotel.
Mountain huts (Marangu Route) or expedition-style camping with quality tents, sleeping mats, and dining tent on camping routes. Pre- and post-climb hotel nights in Arusha can be arranged.
