Route Itinerary

Day 1

Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp

Start through pristine rainforest on the remote western side of Kilimanjaro. Camp at Mti Mkubwa (2,750m).

Day 2

Mti Mkubwa to Shira 1 Camp

Trek out of the forest into expansive moorland. Reach Shira 1 Camp (3,500m) with views across the plateau.

Day 3

Shira 1 to Shira 2 Camp

Gentle hike across the Shira Plateau with panoramic views of Mount Meru and Kibo. Camp at Shira 2 (3,850m).

Day 4

Shira 2 to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp

Climb to Lava Tower (4,600m) for acclimatization, then descend to Barranco Camp (3,960m).

Day 5

Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Scale the Barranco Wall and traverse to Karanga Camp (4,035m) for another important acclimatization stage.

Day 6

Karanga to Barafu Camp

Reach Barafu Camp (4,640m) and prepare carefully for summit night on Africa's highest mountain.

Day 7

Summit Day to Uhuru Peak & Mweka Camp

Midnight push to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) via Stella Point. Descend to Mweka Camp (3,100m).

Day 8

Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate

Complete the final descent through rainforest. Collect your certificate and celebrate your achievement.
